Ashley Mireles is an artist, arts administrator, and educator with over 20 years of experience in cultural programming, community engagement, and arts consulting. She specializes in program development, grant writing, public art curation, and developing strategic arts initiatives that foster accessibility and creative placemaking.
As the founder of Interim Arts, Ashley provides expertise in cultural programming, public art selection processes, and fundraising strategies for organizations, municipalities, and artists. She has served as a grant panelist for the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, City of Austin Department of Economic Development, Texas Commission on the Arts, and the National Association of Latino Arts & Cultures, giving her unique insight into funding processes and priorities.
Previously, Ashley served as the Public Art Curator for the San Antonio River Foundation, where she facilitated the development of temporary and permanent public art projects, including Art In the Open, an initiative bringing site-specific performances and installations to the San Antonio River. She also worked as the Education and Community Programs Manager at Artpace San Antonio, facilitating over 500 public programs from 2017-2022, cultivating partnerships, and expanding access to contemporary art.
