Ashley Mireles is a seasoned artist, arts administrator, and educator with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit arts leadership, arts program management, and community engagement. As the Public Art Curator for the San Antonio River Foundation, she has facilitated numerous temporary public art projects and performances, overseeing artist selection processes, stakeholder collaboration, and the execution of several innovative projects. Her work has fostered meaningful cultural connections and expanded access to public art initiatives across Central Texas.
Previously, as the Education and Community Programs Manager at Artpace San Antonio, Ashley designed and implemented over 500 public programs from 2017-2022, developed strategic partnerships with cultural institutions, and coordinated fundraising initiatives. She has served as a grant panelist for the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, City of Austin Department of Economic Development, Texas Commission on the Arts, and the National Association of Latino Arts & Culture, giving her unique insight into funding processes and grantmaking priorities.
